I am a huge fan of one-player logic games. These games fuel education, cure boredom, and keep kids engaged… and quiet. They are perfect for lazy afternoons, quiet time, restaurants, waiting rooms, and road trips!

*Disclosure: I received both of these games at no cost in exchange for a review. I was not required to write a positive review and, as always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Cure Boredom with ThinkFun’s All-Star Logic Games
Recently, we had the chance to check out two of ThinkFun’s one-player games from their All-Star Logic Game collection: Lunar Landing and WaveBreaker. You may recognize these from your childhood and, trust me, they are every bit as much fun now and they were then.

As you can see from the above photo, this game was a big hit with my kiddos. Lunar Landing is one of ThinkFun’s greatest logic games of all time. The object of the game is to use your “help-bots” to find a way back to the ship’s emergency portal… or you will be lost in space forevermore! This particular game offers an exciting challenge that even the adults can appreciate. My husband has been playing this every weekend with our youngest.

This game was originally released as Stormy Seas back in 1997. With updated packaging and artwork, WaveBreaker is sure to become a family favorite. To play WaveBreaker, arrange the ships on color-coded wave bars as depicted on your challenge card. Then, try to reach safety amid the towering waves!
