Sudoku puzzles have saved my bacon over the past year. Whenever I need my oldest (read: loudest) child to be engaged and quiet, I pull out a book of Sudoku puzzles. I keep one in the car, one in my purse, and blank puzzle books tucked away for emergencies.
And so when I heard that ThinkFun had come up with a Sudoku game, I was excited to check it out.

Disclosure: I received Color Cube Sudoku at not cost in exchange for a review. I was not required to write a positive review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Color Cube Sudoku: The Perfect Game for Sudoku Fans!
Color Cube Sudoku is a new one-player game from ThinkFun. Recommended for ages 8 and up, Color Cube Sudoku takes your Sudoku game to the next level, using colors rather than numbers.

Color Cube Sudoku will delight Sudoku fans both young and old!
To play, flip and rearrange all nine color cubes on the 3×3 tray until each color appears once and only once in each row and column. Sound easy? Guess again! Color Cube Sudoku is irresistible–and challenging–to those young and old. Once you’ve conquered the traditional Sudoku pattern, take your play up a notch with the included bonus challenges.
I love when our family finds a new game that becomes an instant favorite! All three of my kiddos (ages 9, 7, and 5) enjoyed this one, as did my husband and I. Since its arrival, Color Cube Sudoku has been out on our coffee table. My children have used this game individually, collaboratively, and have even added timers to add a speed component. I also packed this one on a recent road trip. While not a travel game per se, Color Cube Sudoku easily fits on a child’s lap and is perfect for car rides.
