‘Minecraft Story Mode: Episode 6′ Puts Your Kids’ Favorite YouTubers in the Game

Minecraft Story Mode

Minecraft Story Mode from Telltale Games wrapped up a 5-episode arc recently, entertaining my 7-year-old with a suspenseful story and memorable characters. (It also broke her heart a little bit, thanks, Telltale!) Three new episodes have been announced for the series, beginning with Episode 6, “A Portal to Mystery”–and it stars some of my daughter’s favorite YouTubers.

If your house is like mine, YouTube personalities like Stampy Cat, DanTDM, LDShadowlady, and CaptainSparklez are practically celebrities. Now they’re going from playing games to being in the games thanks to the new three-episode arc coming to Story Mode. The Minecrafters are invited to a mysterious mansion, and it’s up to them to catch… a killer on the loose! (So this one might be for the older kids.)

YouTubers team up with Jesse and the crew to tackle the mystery, a horde of zombies, surprises, and more.

If you’ve already picked up the Season Pass for Minecraft Story Mode, you’ll need to get another one for this adventure. (And you must own the first episode of Story Mode if you don’t have the Season Pass for Episodes 1-5.) Here’s the fine print:

As part of an extension to the season, this episode may be purchased digitally as part of the new Adventure Pass for $14.99 USD or equivalent, which includes access to Episodes 6, 7, and 8 as they release. The episode will also be available individually for $4.99 USD or equivalent. You’ll need to own at least Episode 1 in the series, or the season pass disc, in order to purchase Episodes 6, 7, and 8.

The adventure begins on June 7, just in time for your kids to spend their first days of summer vacation fighting alongside their favorite Minecraft adventurers.
