Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck are growing up this spring in a new magazine and books for the tween set. The pair have been updated with a re-designed look and modern adventures set in the mystical land of middle school. With two chapter books kicking off a book series, a Minnie & Daisy magazine, and a line of Minnie Mouse makeup all hitting store shelves this month, Minnie and Daisy are poised to reach the tween audience.
In Much Ado About Juliet and The Pesky Pet, both from Disney Books, Minnie and Daisy find their friendship tested by school, crushes, responsibilities, and more. The two may be Best Friends Forever, but they don’t always see eye-to-eye. The books put the pair in situations that most tweens can relate to, and the pages are peppered with bright designs and illustrations.
The Minnie & Daisy B.F.F. magazine features the friends with profiles, quizzes, and games that tweens and younger children can enjoy. My preschooler particularly enjoyed the puzzles and easy-to-follow comic book, even if the stories were a little bit over her head. While my four-year-old enjoys seeing Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck on Minnie’s Bow-Toons now, I can see her making the transition as she gets older to the more contemporary duo.
You can win both Minnie & Daisy chapter books and magazine for your tween! Please leave a comment below answering this question: if you could pick anyone to be your B.F.F., who would you choose and why?
