Just last week, I was sharing my colossal build of the LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell set with our readers. I had promised that LEGO would be announcing a Barad-Dûr set shortly, but I didn’t anticipate just how fast that would actually happen!
LEGO has just announced set #10333. the LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings: Barad-Dûr. This 5,471-piece set brings to life the dark tower of Mordor in brick form. There are tons of LotR details throughout, like a hidden compartment with a map:

And a chamber with a palantir to communicate with Saruman:

There are also 10 minifigures, including Sauron, Mouth of Sauron, Orcs, Frodo, Sam, Gollum, and Gothmog.

When completed, the LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings: Barad-Dûr stands at over 32 inches in height! And not only that, but the build is split into four main sections, with the tower section being fully modular. LEGO fans with more than one copy of the set will be able to stack this section to build a taller tower, making an even more impressive and imposing dark tower.
The LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings: Barad-Dûr is priced at $459.99, and will be available on the LEGO website and at LEGO stores from June 1st, 2024 for LEGO Insiders, and from June 4th for all others. Additionally, when purchasing the set between June 1-7, fans will also receive a free LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings: Fell Beast set, which features posable wings and joints, and a Nazgul minifigure. I’m looking very forward to putting together Barad-Dûr, and displaying it side by side with Rivendell!
