Usagi and his nephew Yukichi have finally left the mountains and their evil inhabitants behind. They have now walked into a new rescue/trouble regarding a famous fighter and his devoted crow.
They think it was a merchant being attacked by up to no-gooders. When they arrive at a village, they see its full of Ronin, because their rescuee turned out to be a famous criminal with a huge bounty on his head.
At an inn, they encounter Gen and Stray Dog, both very intent on looking for the bounty, and they are not alone: the village is filled with the same type of low and scruffy characters.
Yukichi is instantly offended at the idea of attacking the criminal for the bounty, he feels it’s not honorable to kill people for money.
So he leaves the inn on a huff, only to find himself in danger…
