We all have favorite books from our childhood, especially those that our parents read to us. My favorites were The Little Engine That Could (I think I can, I think I can…), The Little Red Hen (Who will help me bake the bread?), and The Story of Ferdinand, the story of the bull who only wanted to be left alone and smell the flowers.
I suspect I identified with Ferdinand, who was supposed to have a certain personality but stubbornly insisted on being himself, despite all outside pressure. And there’s something heartwarming about his need to soak in life, rather than become a rage monster taught to kill for the spectacle of it all.
I missed the Oscar-nominated Ferdinand movie in theaters, largely because my own children are in their late teens now and weren’t interested. But if you too loved the story of Ferdinand, the spirit of the book is perfectly preserved in the movie. Now, you can also watch it on-demand.
That’s because it is now available for rent or purchase on FandangoNOW, Fandango’s digital streaming service! FandangoNOW is offering fans a special gift with purchase—buy Ferdinand on FandangoNOW or via the FandangoNOW app and receive the Ferdinand Plushie from FanShop for free (a $7.99 value).
(Note: The Fanshop is always worth checking out, as they often have exclusive fan stuff. For example, look at this wonderful Black Panther collection.)

But you can also win Ferdinand the plushie and a $50 Fandango gift card, to use to purchase movie tickets or on downloads at their site, by entering our giveaway, courtesy of Fandango.
Just fill out the entry form below. Contest closes on April 2nd.
And don’t forget to stop for a moment and smell the flowers.
