‘Ladybug Girl’s Day Out with Grandpa’: An Adorable Story for Young and Old

I love when I find an irresistible children’s book series. Over the years, our family has enjoyed so many! From Elephant and Piggie to Mercy Watson to The Boxcar Children to Frog and Toad, there’s something special about enjoying multiple books featuring the same beloved characters.

One of the many series we love is the New York Times best-selling series Ladybug Girl by David Soman and Jacky Davis. The main character, Lulu, is an energetic and imaginative girl who adores adventure and discovery. Children will love her adventures, while parents will recognize and adore her energy and spirit.

Recently, our family had a chance to check out the latest book in this beloved series, ‘Ladybug Girl’s Day Out with Grandpa’ and it did not disappoint. In fact, it is my favorite book in the series thus far. I found the story to be completely relatable! Let me tell you: If you’ve ever taken a small child to a museum, this is the book for you! You’ll be stifling laughter as you read aloud to your little ones!

‘Ladybug Girl’s Day Out with Grandpa’: An Adorable Story for Young and Old

In Ladybug Girl’s Day Out with GrandpaLulu and her Grandfather visit a museum together. Lulu is over-the-moon excited to explore every inch of the museum.

“I want to learn everything about everything!” Lulu declares at one point.

Her energy throughout the story is palpable. Grandpa encourages Lulu to slow down and enjoy the museum little by little, but Lulu can’t contain her excitement. She flitters around from exhibit to exhibit, while Grandpa tries to keep up.

Despite Grandpa’s urging, Lulu runs from dinosaurs to bears to stingrays to elephants, barely stopping at each. She is overjoyed, inquisitive, and impulsive.

Now, it’s your turn. Tell me: Does your family have a favorite series? Share here!
