You could build your own vacuformer for those perfect prop pieces. Along with all those other things you’re going to get around to building, right? Vaquform is a desktop-sized vacuformer.

It’s got a mere 13.4″x18.8″ footprint, which is great for a small workroom. Of course, that means you’re somewhat limited in the size of items you can make — in this case, it can use 12.6″x9.4″ sheets for a 9″x12″x6.3″ forming envelope.

Costuming is, of course, only one use for such a device, but it’s certainly a good one in my book. Check out this video of making custom Hennessy bottle prop guns:

Vaquform mets its funding goal in just 12 hours, but you’ve still got plenty of time to get in on the vacu-fun. As of this writing, there are slots left at the $599 pledge level for a Vaquform. The goal is delivery by Christmas 2017.
