Disney XD: ‘Bad Lip Reading’/’High School Musical’ Special

It is summertime. Time for fun and family movie nights. If you are looking for something silly to go along with your viewing our friends over at Disney XD sent us a brand new clip from the Bad Lip Reading/High School Musical special. It features Zac Efron in the popular “Get’cha Head in The Game” dance number from High School Musical with “CHORKY” now at center court. Just try to get that song out of your head.

The YouTube channel  Bad Lip Reading  is fun and family friendly. The creators put a humorous spin on political debates, blockbuster movies, sports and music videos. There are many more clips on the channel from other fan favorites like Star Wars, Game of Thrones, and Twilight. We were recently stuck in bad standstill traffic on a trip and laughed our way through the delay by viewing lots of clips on the channel. My husband liked the political debates best.

We introduced our five-year-old to the High School Musical saga over a few movie nights. She loves the singing and dancing and the idea of being in high school. Her current favorite character is Sharpay Evans, Ashley Tisdale. Ella seems to gravitate towards villains or the bad guys in most things she watches. I am sure that these choices will flux with age, or not. We are ok with the dark side here. I have some parental unit friends who would shudder at the thought of their geeklings becoming athletes or cheerleaders. Just like loving dark side characters, we try to not put our own bias on Ella’s choices. She may just be the first cheerleader in a Captain Phasma costume.

Catch the full special–Bad Lip Reading and Disney XD Present: High School Musical will air on Disney XD on Monday, July 11 at 11am and via Disney XD’s digital platforms.
