If you have young kids who love Peekaboo Barn and Sesame Street, then today is their day. Sesame Workshop and Night & Day Studios have collaborated to bring you Peekaboo Sesame Street! The team tells us:

“The app begins with a stroll down Sesame Street and stops at the 123 brownstone where several of everyone’s favorite Sesame Street characters are waiting behind the bouncing doors ready to surprise and delight little ones. Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Abby Cadabby and more familiar faces introduce themselves and their favorite objects, such as a rubber ducky, fish and book. Oscar even pops up from his trashcan to say hello! The app also includes tips for parents and caregivers to help them extend the learning while their child plays with the app and afterwards.”

For today only, in celebration of the app’s launch, it’s available for $.99 in the App store (marked down from its regular price of $2.99).

I am so completely stoked for this app. My 20-month-old adores Peekaboo Barn and has very recently discovered Elmo. I’ve downloaded this for her to play with later today, and I think it’s going to be a hit.
