Need Pumpkin Carving Ideas? Check Out ExtremePumpkins.com!

Our family goes for the wacky freaky jack ‘o lanterns! This is our 2007 pumpkin, courtesy of my awesome hubby. My youngest son brought home the little pumpkin from preschool, and couldn’t stop laughing at its demise.  This is why Extreme Pumpkins is perfect for us! Photo: Patricia Vollmer

Looking for some creative pumpkin carving ideas? GeekMom Ruth already showed us some, and so did GeekMoms Judy, Kelly, and Ariane. We discovered a website that’s right up my family’s alley when it comes to carving!

My husband is in charge of pumpkin design every year. He’s made some great ones over the years, from a Penn State Nittany Lion head, to the ubiquitous vomiting pumpkin. Add a few props and you can take the creativity even farther!

If you’re like me, living in a house full of boys who are happiest with the most flames, gore, and overall grossness possible, then make your way over to ExtremePumpkins.com. Check out the green gourd alien in the slide show at the top of the main page. Download the free pattern sheet for some great ideas. “Foul Ball” is probably in my family’s future. Definitely my favorite!

What will your pumpkins look like this year?
