Horrible Histories Evolution Tune

Charles Darwin is even more fascinating when horribilized by Horrible Histories.

Such delightful horribleness started back in 1993 with author Terry Deary whose books  got kids interested in the past via gory details and humorous asides, then spun off into several TV series and sites packed with online games.

After writing so much about mayhem and body fluids, it’s probably hard to imagine what could make this author apprehensive. But when Deary heard that his books were being used in school he insisted they should only be read for fun, saying he shuddered to think of children being assigned Horrible Histories.
