Tribute In Light

I know we are a week past the 9/11 anniversary, but it is still very much on my mind. I had recorded many of the specials to watch when the kids were in bed and I am just now catching up. I don’t really know why I feel the need to watch so many of the videos made about that day. Maybe it helps me remember to be thankful for every day and to be sure I tell my family how much I love them. Maybe it helps to remind me that despite all the hatred in the world, most people are good and kind. And maybe it helps to remind me, life is short and fragile, but if you hide away from the world you aren’t really living.

A friend of my husband’s planned to be in New York for the remembrance and made this stunning video. It is as beautiful as it is sad and poignant. It reminds me each day is a gift, use it wisely.
