Pediatricans’ Views On Vaccines

Pertussis Bacteria Image Flickr user AJC1

Back in October, we had a discussion about vaccines on GeekMom. The cases of whooping cough have continued to rise across the country and investigators with the Centers for Disease Control are beginning to look into how to better control the disease in certain areas. Certainly one cause of the spread is the failure to obtain vaccines in a timely manner. While this is definitely a parent’s decision, their partner in that decision is their pediatrician or family doctor. A Seattle pediatrician has inquired among her colleagues “Do you believe in vaccines?”. What they have to say is interesting and thought provoking. Give it a read.
