GeekDad: Shiny and Chrome, It’s the ‘Obscury Road’ Post-Apocalyptic Movie Marathon

If you like your warriors on the road, if you feel that we don’t need another hero, but you want one, then Shout! TV has you covered this Memorial Day Weekend.

On Friday, May 24th, Shout! TV debuts Obscury Road, a marathon of post-apocalyptic films. The marathon will feature cult classic films including Dune Warriors, Wheels of Fire, and Deathsport, starring the likes of David Carradine, Luke Askew and Claudia Jennings as desert warriors. Here’s the trailer:

 

Shout! TV sent me the perfect way to survive the apocalypse, and keep myself entertained while doing so. I opened this package the other day:

There were 6 Blu-ray discs, ranging from classic sci-fi like A Boy and his Dog to other, shall we say, less well-known titles.

And in case you missed it, A Boy and his Dog is set in the post-World War IV future of…2024.

So I’m all prepared for my own personal post-apocalyptic marathon, but you can enjoy your own on May 24th starting at 10am PT. The Obscury Road marathon can be viewed on Shout! TV; as well as the Shout! TV app on Roku, Android, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV; and the following digital streaming platforms – Samsung TV Plus, Amazon Freevee, Local Now, Plex, Pluto TV, Sling TV, LG Channels, available on LG Smart TVs, Fubo, and XUMO.
