Why is the comic called “Starbucks Glass Cup” instead of something more… fitting? Because I taught an art class this week at the Lane Memorial Library on creating characters. It was a class where we focused on imagination and inspiration rather than a technical how-to class. Annnnd… I let the kids name the comic. It was a collaborative group effort. They voted. This was the result.
I had a ridiculous amount of fun. Seriously, like, a RIDICULOUS amount of fun. I forget sometimes how much I enjoy teaching now that I don’t do it all the time. It’s magical to see a group change and grow in such a short amount of time. These kids are truly amazing. I can’t wait to come back.
