Power Up With Mophie

Mophie continues to be one of my favorite companies for portable chargers. They are generally light on my bag, sleek in design, and fairly well priced for their abilities. Here are a few of my favorites from their current line that I think are worth your time to check out.

Powerstation keychain ($39.95)

The Powerstation Keychain carries a 1,200mAh battery, which is just enough juice to get you through an emergency. The integrated USB-C cable allows you to power your device or charges the keychain. The battery is small enough that I don’t have much issue putting it on my key ring or looping the clip on my belt for easy access. Use the four-lighted LED indicator to tell how much juice you have left.

If you want to use this with an Apple device, pick up the USB-C-to-Lightning adapter off Amazon and loop it around the cable for easy access.

The only downside to this battery is the lack of power. At 1,200mAh it’s not going to get you more than one extra boost but if it was any more powerful that would deter from the keychain ability so it’s a matter of what is more important to you.

Powerstation PD ($59.95)

The Powerstation PD has a 6,700mAh battery (enough power to extend your phone’s life by 23 hours) that lets you charge your device 2.5 times faster than a regular charger. If you have both a USB-A and USB-C device low on juice, you can charge them both at the same time. Weighing in at 5.2 ounces, it’s hardly a heavyweight when it comes to portable charging.

What I like about this battery is the power punch it gives. Having 23 hours of additional talk time on my phone is huge and leaves me anxiety-free when it comes to running out of power.

Juice Pack Access ($99.95)

The Juice Pack Access is the only charger I’m listing that isn’t for everyone, but they do have other cases that work with other iPhone and Android models, so there’s that.

The Juice Pack Access houses a 2,000mAh battery and charges your phone wirelessly, leaving your lighting port available for your headphones. The case itself is also charged wirelessly or via USB-C cable that’s included. It adds about 3.25oz to your phone’s weight but for the benefit of the extra built-in battery, that’s not bad.

The one downside to this case I can find is the lack of a screen protector. I’m extremely careful when it comes to protecting my screen so I would get a heavy duty glass protector to aid in this area.

No matter which direction you go, Mophie has a battery pack that will keep you powered up when you need it most.
