I was video chatting with my father in Canada and my niece popped into the picture. My dad told her that I’m a cartoonist. It’s a pretty cool job and not exactly normal, so I figured that I’d have to explain parts of what I do. What I did not expect was how difficult it was to describe what I do to someone who has never had the pleasure of reading the Sunday funnies. Oh boy! We tried to describe what a comic strip is and both failed miserably. I have never felt so old until that moment.
Am I obsolete now?
