Geek Links are cool stories that we’ve found elsewhere on the internet that we think our readers will love, too. Click through to read:
Over at Fuse#8 Productions, James Kennedy, founder of the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival, has whipped up a guest post to get young book-and-film geeks planning for this coming year’s festival. The premise of the festival is: kids (with minimal grown-up assistance) create minute-and-a-half movies retelling Newbery-Award-winning books. At this link you’ll see some of this past year’s best submissions, a schedule of upcoming festival screenings around the country next spring, and, best of all, a reminder to start working on your own submissions, due January 11, 2019.
I know our GeekFamily community is full of the sort of people who would have a blast with a project like this. Get filmmaking!
