Coach Crate: Life Coach In A Box

When it comes to subscription boxes, I don’t think you can get much more unique than Coach Crate, a personal life coach in a box. With my issues with anxiety and depression, I figured something like this might be right up my alley to try.

For $45 a month, Coach Crate gives you just that with a monthly theme for you to work on with a digital life coach that curates the box contents, including book, workbook, and online content to the topic to suit the needs of its members.

Coach Crate’s theme this month is self-acceptance which is something that is timely for my personal life because I’m struggling with it in a big way right now.

First Emotions

Opening the box, I felt a bit nervous at what I would find that would help me and challenge me to look deeper at this area of my self and help me grow. What I found was both overwhelming and calming.

What’s in the Box?

The items in the box are both virtual and physical. To start we will talk about the physical.

  • A bracelet with the word “Accept” beaded out in Morse code
  • “You don’t suck” biodegradable straws
  • Dry erase board for writing messages of love and acceptance to yourself
  • “I accept myself” decal
  • “I’m Lovable” journal/notebook
  • The Self-Acceptance Project book by various writers
  • The Self-Acceptance Project unofficial workbook

The overwhelming item was the workbook. It seemed like a lot to get through in only a month. You can tell the coach took their time in putting the book together. It pushes you to answer questions just like I imagine you would in a real-life coach scenario would.

Instead of reading the book as it’s written, there’s a lesson plan and you read the coordinated chapters and do the selected workbook pages that week. The quick look over tells me this is going to get deep.

The Digital Content

The subscription box also gets you access to the Facebook group and online content that opens up on the first day of the month. This content is just as important as the physical content that you receive in the box.

So far the online content has opened up the digital workbook and welcome video. The website promises at least one to three exclusive recording content videos so this could be one of three or it could be just a welcome video. We will see.

Expectations

Right now, my expectations are in the middle ground. I don’t expect my self-acceptance to grow by leaps and bounds but I don’t think it will stay the same as it is now.

To have a goal it must be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. If I was to put a goal on this crate, I would say it would be to learn more about what self-acceptance is and how it pertains to myself by the end of the 30-day period.

Stay tuned for my full review at the end of the month to see if I got what I wanted out of Coach Crate!
