We’ve really appreciated how the shared Godzilla universe hasn’t tried too hard to show us it’s shared, but just delivered good giant monster fun. But Godzilla: King of the Monsters looks like it’s upping the ante with some excellent casting (Eleven!) and classic Kaiju:
The idea of making an Aquaman movie has been a joke for a long time. Who knew it was just a matter of finding Jason Momoa to take the lead role and make talking to fish the coolest super power ever?
It looks like DC is finally pulling out of the dark and gritty tone of past (failed) attempts, and embracing all that can be fun with superheroes. For example, this trailer for Shazam, where Zachary Levi seems to be enjoying himself to no end playing a kid turned into an adult hero:
