DC Comics Collectibles Bat-Signal Review

Introducing the bat-signal. Image: DC Comics

One of the coolest items to cross my doorstep this year by far is the DC Comics Collectibles Bat-signal. Produced by DC Collectibles, DC Entertainment’s in-house line of exclusive, high-end collectibles, this is a must-have piece for any Batman fan.

This movie prop replica measures in at 12.75″ H x 9.00″ W x 8.00″ D, rotates 180 degrees, and will project one of three included bat symbols from 8 feet away. Slip one of the two classic comic symbols or the redesign from The Dark Knight trilogy to mix it up.

I like how this piece has the detail without too much weight. The details go as far as the screws that secure it to the base and the rivets around the casing.

Thankfully, when you scale down the signal, you get scaled down power requirements. You can install batteries or use the included AC battery adapter.

One thing’s for sure: when dinner’s ready or it’s time for bed, I’ll be signaling my family in a whole new and awesome way.

The Batman Bat-Signal Prop Replica retails for $295.95 and is one of the first items to be released from DC Collectibles’ new high-end collectibles line, “DC Gallery.” Future releases include a Wonder Woman Tiara/Bracelet prop and a life-size Joker cane that will debut sometime next year. Head over to the Offical DC Comics store to check this out for yourself.
