Do you have an animal lover at home? A budding zoologist, perhaps? If so, you’re going to want to keep reading because I have the perfect author for you!
Nicola Davies is an English zoologist and children’s book author. You may recognize her name from previous books including Tiny Creatures: The World of Microbes, Bat Loves the Night, and Poop: A Natural History of the Unmentionable. Davies has a knack for telling stories filled with facts about the natural world, and the best part is that children adore these books!
Today, I’m sharing the latest book from Nicola Davies. If you have a child who loves animals and cares about the planet, this is a perfect book for your next library trip.
*Disclosure: I received a review copy of ‘Many: The Diversity of Life on Earth’ from Candlewick Press in exchange for a review. I was not required to write a positive review and, as always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Our family received a review copy of the new Davies book, Many: The Diversity of Life on Earth. In this book, Nicola Davies teams up with Emily Sutton again. (Previously, Davies and Sutton created the book Tiny Creatures: The World of Microbes, one of our favorite Davies books!)
In Many: The Diversity of Life on Earth, Davies and Sutton discuss the wide variety of life on Earth and how the many creatures, from the smallest microbe to the largest mammal, work together to make our planet whole and happy. Davies explains how the world is interconnected and how we must work together to protect the planet, or else we risk the extinction of more species.
The latest book from Nicola Davies, Many: The Diversity of Life on Earth, is available for pre-order and will be released in November 2017.
Every morning in our homeschool, we enjoy a tradition called Coffee and Books, and then later in the day, I attempt to pair our morning read-alouds with educational games. I love to share our Coffee and Books on Instagram and recently created a free 5-day Coffee and Books series. My hope is that the Coffee and Books series helps to make your homeschool day a little bit easier, by building a morning connection that lasts throughout the day.
