In 2016, DragonConTV, the team that streams panels and custom-made geeky content to the con’s host hotels, added a streaming service so that you could enjoy Dragon Con in HD for an extra three months. When it launched, you had to have a badge to the event and pay an extra $10. But this weekend, anyone can watch for free.
They’re planning for a bigger and better video site in 2017, but first they need to find out if they’re ready for more traffic. The site will go offline on Monday, but between now and then, you can help them with load testing by streaming all of 2016’s content all you want, all weekend long.
To watch, go to https://dragoncon.tv and sign in, and you’ll be able to choose panels or watch the entire Friday, Saturday, and Sunday streams.
They’ll be monitoring for problems, but if you have any feedback or issues, e-mail videobroadcast@dragoncon.org.
