‘Despicable Me 3’ Trailer Is Here

Despicable 3 comes to theaters June 30, 2017 and the trailer is out. And from the looks of it, 80’s music aficionados will have a musical blast from the past, as Trey Parker (of South Park and Book of Mormon fame) joins Steve Carrell and Kristin Wiig to voice Gru’s nemesis, Balthazar Bratt, a super villain sporting shoulder pads and a mullet. While I’m not sure how long this 80’s trend will continue, Despicable 3 is certainly riding the wave. So get out your hairspray, flip up those collars, and get ready to dance.

The story continues the adventures of Gru and Lucy, Gru’s adopted daughters, and the minions. Not sure yet how much of a role they’ll all get in this film from the trailer, but Despicable Me 3 is directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda, co-directed by Eric Guillon, and written by Cinco Paul & Ken Daurio (if that tells you anything).

“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it, always.” – Mahatma Gandhi (from the movie, Gandhi)
