Marvel Universe LIVE!

When I first heard about Marvel Universe Live! my thought was I would believe it when I see it. The months following the announcement, my friends started getting excited to see what was rumored to be a one-of-a-kind experience. My skeptic side said it would never get off the ground.

Well, I’m happy to be proven wrong, and not only is it having a successful tour, it’s next stop will be in my hometown of Orlando, Florida.

According to producing company, Feld Entertainment:

Marvel Universe LIVE! will captivate audiences with an authentic and original story that brings more than 25 Marvel characters together on one epic quest.  The story is framed around the battle over the Cosmic Cube, the source of ultimate power and one of the most feared and coveted treasures in the Marvel Universe, that has been shattered into pieces by the Mighty Thor in order to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. With the pieces scattered across the globe, Thor’s villainous brother Loki devises a scheme to clone its powers, inciting a threat that could not only decimate Earth but also obliterate the Universe.

I’ve seen Spider-Man and Green Goblin in a form similar to this on Broadway, but I haven’t seen Hulk, Iron Man, Loki, Thor, or any of the other 20 super heroes and villains that will be in attendance. It will be interesting to see what it takes to pull them off and make it come off believable to audiences.

The cast includes three-time X Games champion Phil Smage as Captain America, martial arts expert Kirk Jenkins as Wolverine, American Ninja Warrior professional course tester Eric Foster as Hawkeye, and X Games Silver Medalist Louise Forsley as Black Widow.
