Marvel fans are already anxious for August’s Guardians of The Galaxy, and visitors to two Disney Parks will get chance to see an exclusive 3D sneak peek.
The extended sneak peek opened July 4 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ ABC Sound Studio at Walt Disney World in Florida, and Tomorrowland’s Magic Eye Theater (where the short film Captain EO usually runs) at Disneyland Resort in California. Both parks will present the preview in 3D, and Disneyland’s showings will include additional in-theater 4D effects.
The sneak peek included some footage seen in the movie’s trailers with some new and expanded material, as well as the entire introduction scene for Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, played by Chris Pratt.
The space action-adventure follows a group of mismatched outlaws who reluctantly put aside their differences to become heroes and fight to save the universe. Disney featured a similar movie sneak peek in April before the release of the Maleficent, so frequent park visitors may be able to expect future motion picture sneak peek events for their major film releases.
Guardians of the Galaxy opens Aug. 1, and the Disney Parks sneak peek continues through mid August.
