If you lose yourself in a story, or solve problems through reading, you may wish like I do to pass along that gift to others. Tuesday, April 23, is the second annual World Book Night, an event when volunteers give away specially produced editions from a list of paperback novels or memoirs to disadvantaged or struggling adult readers.
There are hundreds of events planned all across the US, UK, and Ireland–look at that map and notice some big names participating in local kick-off events on Monday!! Tens of thousands of people are planning to give away half a million free books to light or nonreaders. Sign up for 2014 and learn more at World Book Night and follow them on Twitter at @wbnamerica.
