Last fall I wrote a post about SparkTruck’s summer trip. A group of Stanford design school (d.school) students launched a Kickstarter to gather funds for a truck and some equipment to spread their love of making with kids across America. Together they covered 15,323 miles, 33 states, 73 locations, and 2,697 students.
As a new bunch of d.school students prepare for the next iteration of the epic educational road trip, the original team launched another Kickstarter campaign to fund the making of a documentary about their trip. Film maker and Stanford student Didi Erucman was on board of the SparkTruck last summer, catching 100 hours of footage waiting to be primed into the ultimate story of students giving back to the community.
There’s only a couple of days left to help fund the Kickstarter and they are only a few hundred dollars short. Looking at their past videos, I have no doubt this documentary will be nothing short of innovative, inspiring, and fun!
