From Fighting Cancer To Fighting Crime

Last week, the Police and Firefighters of Arlington Texas helped grant the wish of a 7-year old boy fighting Leukemia. Kye’s wish was to be Batman battling bad guys in a high action movie. With the help of Wish with Wings, the Arlington Police and Firefighter Department as well as the Mayor’s office and a handful of ‘actors’, they helped set up an elaborate day of crime fighting for Kye.

Staring as little batman, Kye stopped the Joker from robbing a bank. He foiled the Riddler’s attempt at blowing up a car. He even managed to nab a purse snatcher. Batman tagged along just in case the little capped crusader needed some extra muscle.

After a hard day of fighting Crime, Kye had a special lunch and spent some time with Arlington’s own men and women in uniform. Later, he was presented the key to city by Arlington’s Chief of Police.

After it was over, Kye had only this to say: “I just want to say, that was fun.” Talk about a great day.
