Banned Books Week: Virtual Read-Out

As part of Banned Books Week, the American Library Association is hosting a virtual read-out. Individuals, libraries, and bookstores throughout the world are invited to upload videos to YouTube of themselves reading from banned and challenged books. Details are on the ALA website. If you decide to share a snippet of your favorite, know that you’ll be in good company. Authors like Chris Crutcher, Judy Blume, and Lauren Myracle (above) have already added their voice to the read-out.
