Travelon Hobo Bag Review

Travelon Bags: Keeping You and Your Belongings Safe

Reviews Travel

Travelon is in the business of keeping you and your belongings safe while out on the town or traveling.

I was given the opportunity to check out five of Travelon’s bags to see if they hold up to the hype. Standard features in each of the bags listed include being slash-resistant, water-resistant, RFID blocking slots or pockets, and locking zippers.

I was given the chance to check out the following bags:

Here are my findings.

Anti-Theft Heritage Hobo Bag (Retail $75, Amazon for $45)

Great little bag and I love the design. I like how it goes from hobo bag to messenger bag and the messenger bag strap can get pretty long. The only disappointment this bag gives me is the lack of being able to hold my Moleskine notebook. This is an ideal bag if you plan to do some shopping in a different port of call and just plan to carry your phone, an umbrella/poncho, and your wallet. It also comes with an LED light you can put on your keys or leave on the bag so you can search the inside while in dark spaces.

Anti-Theft Classic Small Convertible Backpack (Retail $35)

This is a fun little backpack. It’s a little bigger than the Loungefly designer mini backpacks that have become so popular. The nice feature of this bag is that it goes from backpack to messenger bag. This bag is ideal for everyday use as well as travel because it can hold a standard-sized iPad, a couple of modest-sized books, and a Moleskine notebook with ease.

Anti-Theft Urban® Sling (Retail $85, Amazon $60)

This bag looks great on anyone and it comes in two colors: slate and black. It can hold everything the Convertible Backpack can hold but with a little more padding. It’s a sling so it has only one strap but it can switch to be for left or right-handed individuals. This bag feels more rugged than the rest and is my ideal bag for commuting back and forth to work or even going outdoors.

Anti-Theft Classic Crossbody Bucket Bag (Retail $74, Amazon $25)

Another great bag for day-to-day use or while traveling in a foreign port. The best feature of this bag is the side pockets that open up to hold either a bottle of water or an umbrella. It also comes with an LED light that you can attach to your keys or keep in the bag so you can see inside the bag easily while in dark spaces.

Anti-Theft Classic Mini Shoulder Bag (Retail $74, Amazon $18)

This is the smallest and simplest bag on the list. It’s great for walking ports of call or just making a quick run out to the store. It’s just big enough to keep your pockets clear of your phone, wallet, keys, and spare change. My favorite feature of this bag is how flat it lays, even with some of my stuff in it.

Final Thoughts on Travelon Bags

I love the variety of bags available on Travelon’s website. There really is a bag for everyone regardless of age or gender. My favorite bags from this listing have to be the Heritage Hobo for its clean design and the Cross-Body Bucket Bag because it can hold a bottle of water, and that ever-important in Florida. The fact that they are slash-resistant as well as water-resistant gives me a peace of mind taking them out and about while I’m traveling no matter the weather.

Travelon also sells travel accessories. Check them out for all our travel needs!
