In just four weeks time, it will be 50 years since Neil Armstrong took his first, historic step onto the surface of the moon and declared that it was, “one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”. To celebrate this momentous anniversary, GeekMom and GeekDad have put together a large collection of Apollo 50th related posts that we will be running regularly up until July 20th, the day of the landing.

Over the next four weeks, we will be taking you to the moon and back with book reviews, coverage of visits to space-related attractions, games, puzzles, and much, much more. Be sure to follow the Apollo tag and look out for posts headed Apollo 50th across both sites to make sure you don’t miss out.

We’re excited to celebrate this landmark with you and would love to hear your plans for marking the 50th anniversary of the moon landing in the comments and on social media. Please also feel free to share your thoughts and memories of the Apollo missions, their influence on your life, and your hopes and dreams for the future of space travel as we turn our thoughts once again toward the moon, and also, further out to Mars and beyond.
