I’ve been Black Friday shopping for longer than I’d like to admit now. This year’s deals are not the best. It’s really been declining year after year as the online sales stretch from Black Friday into a full week before Thanksgiving. But there are still some good prices to be had, and even better, you can have most of them online if you’re not a shopping-as-sport kind of person. Here’s a roundup of what you’ll find tomorrow, and we’ll be back on Monday with the Cyber Monday sales roundup.
When do the Black Friday sales start?

- Amazon also has board games on sale, which will give you a better deal on Pandemic or Catan, along with many others.
- Amazon has 40% off toys today. You can also get a holiday Mickey Mouse plush when you spend $50. Some of the best picks include:
- Bloxels Build Your Own Video Game, $12.99
- Several Minecraft toys are included, like the Ender Dragon Interactive Mob Head ($20.58) and the Ender Dragon Action Figure ($37.75)
- 12″ Wonder Woman doll, $8.40
Geeky clothes

Crafting geeks
- Various Silhouette and Cricut machines are being offered. I recommend avoiding bundles, which mostly include low-quality materials you may or may not even want to use. The best price I’ve seen on a Cricut Maker, which is the cuts-it-all version, is $340 on Amazon.
- Michaels does the same sort of cascading coupons every year, and this one’s no different. 30% off your entire purchase, including sale items, on Thursday night and Friday until noon. By Saturday afternoon, it’s 50% off one regular price item, which is a common coupon there anyway.
- AC Moore doe something similar, but with just two. 40% off your total regular price purchase until noon on Friday, and 60% off one item on Friday from noon to close. They’ve also got a few doorbusters, but nothing particularly worth fighting the line for.
- JoAnn’s has some larger than usual discounts, including 70% off Christmas cotton fabric, various flannels, strung beads, and holiday ribbon and picks.
