Syncwire Charger/Adaptor

Recommended By: Sophie Brown
For: Teens and older
Approximate Cost: $18
Buy It From: Amazon

OK, this isn’t the most exciting of Christmas gifts, but in terms of practicality, nothing beats it. Not even socks. The Syncwire charger and adaptor is a simple plug-in charger with four USB ports (two 1A, two 2.4A) which will allow you to charge multiple devices at once from a single socket. It also doubles up as a travel adaptor so it can plug directly into U.S., British, and European style sockets without any extra parts. This is the perfect stocking filler for anyone who is permanently surrounded by their devices and who needs to charge many things at once.

T-Mobile SyncUP DRIVE

Recommended By: Ruth Suehle
For: Adults
Approximate Cost: $48
Buy It From: T-Mobile

You don’t want to buy a car with built-in wifi, but that sounds like a nice feature? T-Mobile’s SyncUP DRIVE takes care of that. You can connect five devices on its network. And if you have teenage drivers, you can use it to track driving behavior and location. (That means you can also use it yourself to remember where you parked!)

Sudio Vasa Bla Earbuds

Recommended By: Karen Walsh
For: Adults
Approximate Cost: $80
Buy It From: Amazon

As someone with a mobile work lifestyle, I love that I can transition back and forth between my phone and laptop with these. Most bluetooth connections are just one device at a time. The Sudio Vasa Bla is my favorite earbud because I can be working on my laptop listening to music from there through WiFi and then transition right over to my phone if a call comes in.

Instant Pot

Recommended By: Nivi Engineer
For: Teens and older
Approximate Cost: $100
Buy It From: Amazon

Not to join the cult (though they are an enthusiastic bunch), but because it can make life more convenient. There are things it does rather well, and…oh, who am I kidding? Someone on your shopping list desperately wants one of these (or a second one of these). Just wait for the sale and get it. It’s like the Home Chef’s Playstation. Let the games begin already.

Wonderboom Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker

Recommended By: Sophie Brown
For: Teens and older
Approximate Cost: $100
Buy It From: Amazon

The Wonderboom is a lightweight Bluetooth speaker that packs incredible sound into its small size. Available in six colors, the speakers are fully waterproof and can be linked together for even more intense sound. The battery life and Bluetooth range are impressive, but the sound quality is the biggest selling point here and it is phenomenal. At $100 this isn’t the cheapest speaker on the market, but having used cheap speakers for the last year or so, the improvement in sound quality from the Wonderboom is off the charts. The perfect gift for any music fan.

Silhouette Cameo 3

Recommended By: Ruth Suehle
For: Teens and older
Approximate Cost: $250
Buy It From: Amazon

If you like to make things, throw parties, or customize anything, you need a cutting machine. I’ve had several of the Silhouette line of products, and the Cameo 3 is the best yet. Its autoblade system takes a lot of the guesswork out, and the software is easy to use. You can make papercrafts, cut vinyl, make t-shirt vinyl transfers, create stencils, and all sorts of other things that require cutting!
