What do you get when you cross a comic convention with a major league baseball game?

Star Wars Night at Fenway Park. The collision of two epic fandoms: Star Wars and the Red Sox. What could go wrong? Nothing, that’s what.

The 501st Legion represented the Star Wars in full Force (see what I did there?) taking pictures with kids and adults alike. Meanwhile, the ballpark started the game by having a band play the Star Wars theme and by showing a video on the screen of the ball players battling with lightsabers.

In addition, fans who purchased their tickets through the special Star Wars promotion scored a pretty nifty BB-8 commemorative limited edition ball statue.

First, there was a Tiny Rey.

Then there were stormtroopers galore.

Then there was a Padme and Cody.

Then there was a Big Rey.

Then there were some pretty stinking amazeballs balloon hats and Leias.

And if that wasn’t enough? There was Big Papi batting with a light saber. Because, I mean, OF COURSE.

Well played, Fenway. Hopefully, we’ll be back again next year.
