I should have known this last night but the Bear is the sigil for the Mormonts, like the Old Bear of the Night’s Watch and his son, Jorah.
Still can’t see the symbolism, though, in the actual Bear versus Brienne and Jamie. Unless it’s Jamie against the North or pointing to Jamie and Brienne against Dany, who has Jorah by her side.
It’s a reach. Sometimes a bear is just a bear.
