A New Lego Holiday Website – It’s Worth Checking Out!

It’s finally live! The new Lego website I hinted about in last week’s post is up and running. You can find it at LegoSantaYoda.com. It’s packed with holiday fun and focuses on the joy of giving, during this holiday season.

There are e-greeting cards you can send your friends, and for each card sent, Lego will donate a toy to the Toys for Tots program. There’s even a ticker on the side of the website, telling how many toys have been donated so far.

The e-greetings are hilarious. One is of Darth Vader being harassed by carolers at his door. Their songs are Star Wars related but sung to the tunes of popular holiday classics. Another (my favorite) is of Santa Yoda, making his list and checking it twice. Of course all of his gifts are created in Lego, and the best scene is at the end, when (spoiler alert) Darth Vader fist bumps a Snow Trooper as they lurk outside Santa Yoda’s window.

The third is a time lapse video of the construction of the world’s largest Lego Santa Yoda, which was built in San Fransisco this past weekend, with the help of the public. It was a major undertaking and watching the creation grow, step by step, is pretty fascinating.

You’ll also find a great contest on this new website. There are weekly winners (large Star Wars Lego sets) and the grand prize winner will be the proud owner of the two foot tall Santa Lego Yoda (pictured above), which contains five thousand dollars worth of Lego bricks.

Click on over to this fun new site, send a few e-cards to your Star Wars Lego lovin’ friends, and feel good that you’ve helped a few kids get a special toy of their own this holiday season.
