It’s Never Too Cold For Ice Cream

It’s November.  The time for ice cream is past–or has it?  In my opinion, the best ice cream flavors are hitting the market as I type: Edy’s seasonal flavors like Pumpkin, Egg Nog and Peppermint; Ben and Jerry’s Pumpkin Cheescake and Snickerdoodle Cookie; all the seasonal flavors at Baskin-Robbins or TCBY (one near me has maple flavored yogurt on pump!).  But, what if you’re not in the mood for a chilly food when just in from snowman-building?  Tis the season for hot cocoa and spiced apple cider and wassail or mulled wine, not a dish of frozen cream.  Never fear, you can have a slice of ice cream bread to go with your warm drinks.  Egg Nog Ice Cream Bread with steamy spiced cider, or Peppermint Ice Cream Bread with sweet cocoa.  The recipe is super simple, and what kid wouldn’t love to cook ice cream?  More suggestions from The Kitchen website.
